Thermographic powders: what are them for?
The thermographic powder is made by a fine natural resin: it fixes on the wet-ink image, and then polymerizes through the heat. As a result, you will obtain a raised image. With Gasperini "Shiny Tuscany" products, it is possible to apply thermography in new and untraditional fields so as to give, for marketing and promotion, more features than lithographic printing. In labeling, packaging and brochures, a tactile element can improve the visual attraction of your product.
Shiny Tuscany Gasperini:

packaging, brochures, stationery, book industry, greeting cards, clothes tags
and tickets, and many many other fields: thermographic printing can be used in a wide
range of applications. The presence of a special color effect and of a tactile
element, give to your printed products a special touch and a high value-added.
There is only one limit: your fantasy.

U.V. powders are available to allow thermographic printings to be
used with laser printers (which generate high temperature). By taking advantage
of this important feature, it is possible to use more than once the machine
heater, so as to obtain multi-colored thermographic printings, even on both
sides of the sheet.
The laser-proof powder must be exposed to a U.V. light in order to polymerize
the raised image. The U.V. unit can mounted onto
the Sunraise thermographic machines (all automatic model are ready to accept
this device), and no
special inks are required.
